An Ordinance Assessing the Value of the Benefits to be
Received by the Owners of each of the Several Blocks,
Lots and Parcels of Land within Street Improvement
District No. 546 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, persons owning two - thirds in value of the property
adjoining the locality to be affected and situate in Street Im-
provement District No. 546, organized for the purpose of grading,
draining, curbing, guttering and paving in such manner and with
such mat6rials as the Commissioners of said District shall
determine':to be for the best interest of the District, Rice
Street from the south property line of Wright Avenue to the
north property line of West Twenty -first Street (three blocks),
hg; a petitioned the Council of the City of Little Rock for the
construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof
shall:be assessed upon the real property of said District
according to the benefits received;
WHEtUS, said benefits received by each and every block,
_!fit and parcel of real property situate in said District equals
or-exceedi'the local assessment thereon; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is
J3`,486.00,.' exclusive of interest;
NOW; THEREFORE, it is ordained by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
- SECTION 1. That said several blocks, lots and parcels of
real property in said District be assessed according to the
assessment list for said Improvement District, as the same now
remains in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Little
Rock, and as the same may be annually readjusted by the Board of
Assessors, and that twenty per cent (203 ") of said assessment
of value of benefits of each of said blocks, lots and parcels
of land shall be paid annually on or before the 16th day of
December each year until said assessment shall have been paid
in full. The first annual payment shall be made on or before
the 16th day of December, 1940.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
