ORDINANCE No. 6073
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT No. 552
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of
two - thirds in assessed value of the property located
roithin the territory hereinafter described-have filed a
petition praying that an improvement district be estab-
lished for the purposes (hereinafter set out.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law,
the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has
heard all parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained
that said petition was signed by two- thirds in assessed
value of the owners of real property within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There Is hereby established an
improvement district embracinb the following described
property:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 7,
Block 5, Chesterfield Square addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence South along the
West line of the alley which runs North and South
through Block 5 and along said alley line extended
South across Twenty- fourth Street to the South line
of West Twenty - fourth Street; thence East along the
South line of West Twenty- fourth Street to a point
which is 300 feet East of the East property line of
Maple Street; thence South, and parallel to Maple
Street,'' 290 feet; thence West to the Southwest cor-
ner of Lot 3, Block 1, Henderson's Addition to the
'-City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence North td tw_
Northwest corner of Lot 24, Block 13, Niemeyer's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence East to the Northeast corner of Lot 24, Black
13 of said Niemeyer's Addition; thence North to a
point which is directly West of the Northwest corner
of Lot 7, Block 5, of said Chesterfield Square Addi-
tion; thence East to the point of beginning.
Said property within the improvement district
hereby established consists of the following described property:

Lots 7, 8 and 9, Block 13 of Waymants Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
Lots 19 to 24, inclusive, Block 13, Niemeyerts
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
Part of SE4 SW4 Section 8, Township 1 North,
Range 12 West, beginning 30 feet Vvest of NE corner of
SE4 SW4, thence West 140 feet, thence South 130 feet,
thence East 140 feet, thence North 130 feet to the
point of beginning;
Lots 1, 2 and 3. Block 1, Hendersonts Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
Lots 7- to 12, inclusive, Block 5, Chesterfield
Sguare> Addition * to" "`the City of Little ' Rock, u£Ark�xs "sus;'
And the following described portion of Section 8,
Township 1 North, Range 12 West, described as follows,
to-wit:
Part of SW SE, Section 8, T1N R12W; beginning
30 feet East of NW corner of SW4 SEl; thence Fast 300
feet; thence South 290 feet; thence West 300 feet;
thence North 290 feet to the point of beginning.
The purpose of the improvement district hereby
established is to drain, grade, curb, gutter, and pave the
following described streets, to -wit:
Man_ le Street from the North line of Lot 7,
Block 5, Chesterfield Square Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, extended West across Maple
Street; thence South to the South line of Lot 3,
Block 1, Hendersont s Addition to the City of Little
Ruck-; '- Arkansas; extended- ftst across Maple Street;
in such manner and with such materials as the Board of
Improvement of said district may deem for the best interests
of the district., subject to the approval of the City Engineer.
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement
District No. 552; and A. D. Hines, T. J. Prange, and 0. A.
Cates are hereby named commissioners, who shall compose the
Board of Improvement for said district.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage.
