An Ordinance Assessing the Value of the Benefits
to be Received by the Owners of -Each of the Sev-
eral Blocks, Lots and Parcels of Land within
Street Improvement. District No. 548 of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas.
171HEREAS, two - thirds in value of the prop: }erty.own.ers
adjoining, the locality to be affected and situated within Street
Improvement District No. 548 of the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas, organized for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing,
guttering and paving, in such manner and with such materials
as the commissioners for the said improvement district deem
to be for the best interest of said district, the following
parts of the following streets in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, lying within said district, to -wit:
Ferry Street from the North side of East Fifth
Street to the South side of East Ninth Street;
East Seventh Street from the East side of Sher-
man Streeb to the :`Jest side of Rector Street;
East Eighth Street from the East side of Sher-
man Street to the west side of Rector Street
have petitioned the Council of the City of Little Rock for the
construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof
shall be assessed upon the real property of said district ac-
cording to the benefits received; and
WiIEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block,
lot and parcel of real property situated in said district equals
or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and
NiEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement, exclusive
of interest, is '152500.
0EIEREFORE, it is now ordained by the City Council of tjxe
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That the said several blocks, lots and
parcels of real property in said Street Improvement District
No. 548 be, and they are hereby assessed according to the as-
sessment list for said improvement district as the same now
remains in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Little
Rock, and as the same may be annually re- adjusted by the Board
of Assessors, and that seventeen percentum (17;0) of said as-
sessment of the value of benefits to each of said blocks,
lots and parcels of land shall be paid on or before the 1st
day of April in the years 1941, 19.2, 1943, 19A4 and 1945;
and fifteen percent-Lim (15,.0) of said assessment shall be paid
on or bei'ore the 1st day of April of the year 1946, until the
whole of said local assessment shall be paid.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its )assaCe.
