AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE STREFT DEPARTMENT TO INCREASE ITS
PERSONNEL PROVIDING A SALARY FOR THE POSITION SO AUTHORIZED,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Stree# Department of the City of Little
Rock is hereby authorized to increase its personnel by employing
an additional street sweeper operator in addition to the positions
and employment heretofore authorized.
Section 2. The S +reet Sweeper Operator whose employment
is authorized shall be chosen by the Civil Service Commission
in the manner provided by law.
Section 3. The additional Street Sweeper Operator to
be employed under effect of this ordinance shall reeieve a
salary of $108.00 per month.

Section (WHEREAS the sanitary importance to the citizens
of the City of Little Rock to have and maintain an adequate
street cleaning force in order that the public health and
welfare in general may be sate guarded, an emergency is hereby
found to exist. This order is found to be necessary for the
heellth and happiness and general welfare of the people of the
City of Little Rock. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
