An ordinance establishing Street Improvement District
Number 556 in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Whereas, parties claiming to be the owners of two- thirds
in assessed value of the property located within the territory
hereinafter described, have filed a petition praying that an im-
provement district be established for the purpose hereinafter set
out; and
Whereas, after due notice as required by law the City
Council of the City of Little Rock has heard all parties desiring
to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by
two- thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property with-
in said territory;
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following property:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 3, Block 5,
Jansen Addition, said corner being on the west property
line of Lewis Street; thence west 265 feet; thence north
2 feet; thence west 100 feet to a point which is 5 feet
south of the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 8, Riffel &
Rhoton Addition; thence north 5 feet to the southeast cor-
ner of said Lot 1, Block 8, Riffel & Rhoton Addition, which
is on the north line of the alley in Block 8; thence west
along said north line of alley in Blocks 8 and 7, Riffel &
Rhoton Addition, and along the north alley line of Block 33,
Cunningham Addition, to the southwest corner of Lot 4, in
said Block 33, being a point on the east property line of
Washington Street; thence west 25 feet to the center of
Washington Street; thence north along the center of Washington
Street to a point 25 feet west of the northwest corner of Lot
1, Block 17, Cunningham Addition; thence east to the north-
west corner 'of said Lot 1, Block 17, Cunningham Addition;
thence east along the south boundary line of the alley in

Block 17, Cunningham Addition and Blocks 6 and 5, Riffel
& Rhoton Addition to the northeast corner of Lot 12 of said
Block 5, Riffel & Rhoton Addition; thence south 1 foot along
the east line of said Lot 12, Block 5, Riffel & Rhoton Ad-
``' dition to the northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 11, Jansen
Addition; thence east along the north line of said Lot 6,
Block 11, Jansen Addition and continuing east across Abigail
Street to the northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 6, of said
Jansen Addition, and thence east along the north line of Lots
9 and 4 of said Block 6 to the northeast corner of Lot 4,
said Block 6, to a point on the west property line of Lewis
Street; thence continuing east 30 feet to the center of Lewis
Street; thence south along the center of Lewis Street to a
point 30 feet east of the southeast corner of Lot 3, Block
5, Jansen Addition; and thence west 30 feet to the place of
beginning,
for the purpose of grading, curbing, guttering and paving West
Eleventh Street from the center of Lewis Street to the center of
Washington Street.
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement Dis-

trict Number 556 and kix lmmir T T. Z. Sumlin and Logan B.
Young are hereby named Commissioners, who shall compose the Board
of Improvement for said district.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
