AN ORDINAICE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2457 BY REQUIRING A LICENSE
FOR THE OPERATION OF A SKATING RINK, FIXING THE AMOUNT THEREOF
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR OPERATING A SKATING RINK WITHOUT
COMPLYING WITH THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
or corporation to engage in the business of operating or to
operate a skating rink within the City of Little Rock with-
out first having obtained and paid for a city license there-
for from the proper city authorities.
Section 2. The amount of the license to be paid is
hereby fixed at one hundred and eighty dollars ($180.00) per
year, or forty -five dollars ($45.00) per quarter, or fifteen
dollars ($15.00) per month, or fraction thereof, payable in
advances to be paid to the City Collector.
Section 3. Ordinance No. 2457 is hereby amended in ac-
oordanoe with the provisions of Sections 1 and 2 of this
Ordinance.
Section 4. Any person, firm, or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this Ordinance by engaging in the
business of or operating a skating rink without first having
obtained and paid for a city license therefor shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction in the municipal
court shall be fined in any sum not less than five dollars ($5.00)
nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) per day and each day said
violation shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
Section Be This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from its passage and approval.
