AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO INCREASE ITS
PERSONNEL BY ONE ADDITIONAL RADIO OPERATOR, PROVIDE SALARY FOR
THE INCREASE SO AUTHORIZED AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

increase its personnel by employing an additional radio oper-
ator in addition to the positions and employment heretofore
authorized.
Section 2. The Radio Operator whose employment is author-
ized by this ordinance shall be chosen by the Civil Service
Commission in the manner provided for by law.
Section 3. The Radio Operator whose employment is author-
ized by this ordinance shall receive a salary of one hundred
and thirty -five dollars ( =135.00) per month.
Section 4. Whereas the establishment and maintenance of
an adequate police force is vital to the welfare of the oiti-
zone of Little Rock and whereas the prompt dissemination of
information in the Police Department is also vital to the
welfare of the citizens of Little Rock, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
