DISTRICT NO. 557
WIMUS,, parties claiming to be the oviaers of two - thirds in
assessed value of the property located within the territory herein-
after described, have filed a petition praying that an Improvement
District be established for the purpose hereinafter set out;
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desir-
ing to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed
by two- thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property
within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: There is hereby established an Improvement District
embracing the following property:
Lots 7 to 12 inclusive in Block 11 ) All in Centennial
Lots 1 to 6 inclusive in Block 12 ) Addition to the City
Lots

6
inclusive
in
Block
15
) of Little Rock,
Lots
7
to
1Z
inclusive
in
Block
16
) Arkansas,
for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering and paving
Bishop Street from the south boundary line of 13th Street to the
north boundary line of 15th Street, except the intersecting area
covered by 14th Street, in the corporate limits of Little Rock,
Arkansas.
Said District shall be known as Street Improvement District
No. 557 , and George A. Matthews, Martin Brown and A. J. Epps
are hereby named Commissioners, who shall compose the Board of
Improvement for said District.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
