AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING, AND APPROVING THE ACTION
OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS IN ADVERTISING FOR
BIDS FOR, AND MAKING A CONTRACT FOR, THE PURCHASE
OF THE OIL AND GASOLINE, AND TIRES AND TUBES NEEDED
BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE THREE MONTHS PERIOD

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The action of the Board of Public
Affairs in advertising for bids for and making a contract
with various persons for the purchase of oil and gasoline,
and tires and tubes needed by the City of Little Rook
during the three months period ending August 7, 1941, is

hereby ratified and the city hereby accepts
and agrees to accept all commodities or articles delivered
under the terms of said contracts, and agrees to pay the
contract price therefor.
Section 2. WHEREAS, it is vital to the welfare and
the health and safety of the citizens of Little Rook
that mechanized equipment of its city be furnished with
power and rendered capable of discharging the functions
for which it was designed, now, therefore, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
