AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING SIXTY DOLLARS PER MONTH OUT
OF THE GENERAL FUNDS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO PROVIDE
FOR THE CITY'S SHARE IN THE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT OF
THE WORK PROJEOTS ADMINISTRATION, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
{ �- WHEREAS, the Gity of Little Rook is receiving the
benefits of the Community Service Project.of the Work
Projects Administration through its citizens,'and
WHEREAS, the services performed in our oommunity
by this project are of great benefit to our citizens who
are temporarily incapacitated through no Sault of their
own, therefore,,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
Section 1. That the sum of Sixty Dollars is hereby
appropriated out of the General Revenue Fund of the City of
Little Rook, Arkansas for the purpose of contributing to the
support of the Community Service Project bf4 the Works Projects
Administration.
i Section $. That said moneys shall be paid to such
a
person or persons as the Administrator of the Work Projects
idninistration for Arkans *s may dire,ot, and the ]t yft '*nd
the City Clerk are hereby authorized to issue the waruant
of the City of Little Rook for said amounts the first
payment shall be made on the tenth day of June, 1941, and
a like amount on the tenth day of each succeeding month
thereafter, and shall be used solely for the purpose of
fostering and facilitating the work of the said Community
Service Project.
Section 3. The payments provided for under this or-
dinanoe shall continue until the City Council of Little
t= R-oak, Arkansas ordains otherwise= but in no-: -wont- shall the
total amount appropriated hereunder exceed a total of

Section All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section 6j• It is found and declared to be a fact that
many people in this City are dependent upon this project
and are in need of immediate relief and that the passage
of this ordinance will lessen these needs, therefore, this
ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety of the City of Little Rook, an
emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
