WHEREAS, the various positions in the City Health Department

salary schedule arranged through various ordinances, and it is now
desired to clarif7T the various positions and salaries and emol-mmer_ts
to be paid to the holders of the various positions, and

now provided for, and

Section 1. There is hereby created the position of ryity Health
Officer. He shall be paid. an annual salar7T of Sixteen 71un.dred 7`ollars
(1600.00) by the city. The other emoluments of the office are to
be arranged with the contributing agencies.
Section 2. There is hereby created a post of Assistant Health
Officer who is not to be paid an-NT salary by the city, gut who. is to
receive his emolur_erts fror the contributing agencies.
Section 3. There is '- iereby crea ted the position of Chief Public
Health 1`'urse. She is not to receive any salar -7 froil the city, but

Section? 4. There are hereby created ?ositions for nine Public
Health Turse.si, none of whom are to receive salaries from the city,
but who are to receive their emoluments from the contributing agencies.
Section 5. There is hereby created the position of Clinical

Section 6. There is hereby created the position of Senior
Engineer who shall receive from the city a salary of Yine Hundred

spector who shall receive from the city a salary of Twenty One

Section 9. There is hereby created the position of Food

Hundred Eighty Dollars (5x1980.00) per annum.

Stenographer, one of whom shall be paid by the city and. shall receive

second of whom shall be paid by the contributing agencies.
Section 13. There is 1lereby created the position of Laboratory
Technician who shall receive from the city a salary of Twelve Fun-
dred Dollars ('1200.00) per annum. The other eioluments of this
position will be received from the contributing a�,•encies.

"isitin� Physician_ who shall receive from_ tlle city a salary of
EiUhteen Hundped Dollars (;,1800.00) per annum.
Section 15. `here is hereby created the position of Pl-Lugbing
Inspector ��ho shall receive f ro_�i the cit �r a salary of Eihteen
Hundred Dollars (;;'1800.00) per annum.
Section 16. '-her is hereby created the position of Produce
Inspector who,shall receive from the city a salary of Fifteen
Hundred Dollars (-- 1500..00) per annum.

Dollars ("1500..00) per annum.
Section_ 18. There is hereby created the position of Pound
Helper who shall receive from the city a salary of I:ine Hundred
Sixty Dollars (y960.00) per annum.
Section 19. The above is an enumeration of the present existing
positions in the Cit?r Health Department with the addition of four
new positions created in the ordinance,,which are as follotis one
clerk - stenographer., two public health nurses, and one senior en`;ineer.
It is expressly stated that this ordinance intends to act only as an
enumeration and a continuation of those positions heretofore created
by other ordinances and those persons now holdin" their present
positions with civil service rating shall continue to hold them
without any impairment of their Civil Service status or seniority.
The four new positions which are the clerk - steno- rapher, two public
health nurses, and senior en -ineer are to be filled in accordance
with the Civil Service provisions of the city.
Section_ 20. There is hereby. allowed as a travel allowance the
suir_ of Six Hundred Dollars (2;,600.00) per annum to the city health
Officer to be paid b7r the city.
Section 21. There is hereby allowed as a travel allowance to
the Public TTealth Purses provided for above in Sections 3 and 4 the
sum of Fifty Eight Hundred Dollars (; 5300.00) per year for all of the
nurses which said amount is to be pair nro -rata to each by t .ie city.
Section 22. It is herebJr allowed as a travel allowance to the

annum to be paid by the city.
Section 23. Those parts of ordinances ':umbers 6104, 5938, 5873,
5872, 5896, or any other ordinance or part of an ordinance in conflict
herewith is hereby amended to conform with this ordinance.
