AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE AIRPORT CONSTRUCTIOF FUND
THE SUM OF THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($375.00) TO BE
EXPENDED IN THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN LANDS IN PULASKI COUNTY FOR
THE PURPOSE OF ENLARGING AND EXPANDING THE- LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL
AIRPORT, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
Section 1. The sum of Three Hundred Seventy.Five Dollars
(4375.00) is hereby appropriated out of the airport construction
.fund for the purchase of,the lands hereinafter described and located
in Pulaski County for the purpose of expanding and enlarging the
Little Rock Municipal Airport.
Section 2. The sum of Three Hundred Seventy Five Dollars
(,$375.00) appropriated in Section l of this ordinance or any lesser
amounts that'may be necessary shall be expended in the purchase
of the real property.described hereafter and paid to the owner
or owners . of said real property' and to Read- Stevenson & Dick, I-no.
in the amounts indicated hereafter;
Mrs. G. P. Sherry A triangular piece of ground with an altitude
of 46 feet lying East and West and with a
base of 18,'►5 feet lying North and South;-one
triangle contains approximately 426 square
feet, lying in the North -East corner of the
M 1/3 of the NE 1/4 of Lot 3, Block 2, Watkins
Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas. $375.00
Section 3. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby author-
ized to issue the warrant of the City of Little Rock to the owners
of the land described above in the amounts mentioned for the purchase
of the described real estate, or so much thereof as may be needed
for the East Twenty -fifth Street right of way, on delivery of an
adequate deed of conveyance to the premises set out in Section 2
of this ordinance and on presentation to the Mayor of the City of
Little Rock of adequate proof of merchantable title in the persons
claiming to be the owners.
Section 4. Whereas, in view of the present defense program
of the national government and of the importance of the development
of the Little Rock Municipal Airport, and, whereas, the expansion
of the Little Rock Municipal Airport is necessary to the peace,
health, safety and well being of the citizens of Little Rock, Arkansas,

IOW THEREFORE, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval. '
