ORDINANCE NO. 62990
AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE BOARD OF WATERWORKS COMMISSIONERS
TO INSTALL SIX (6) FIRE HYDRANTS TO AFFORD FIRE PRO - i
TECTION FOR THREE PROJECTS BEING CONSTRUCTED BY THE
CITY HOUSING AUTHORITIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
Sectionl, The Board of Waterworks Commissioners is
hereby ordered and directed to install six (6) fire hydrants to
afford fire protection to three Housing Projects now being or
to be constructed by the City Housing Authorities, said installa-
tions to be made at the following locations:
On Project Ark. 4 -1, one fire hydrant to be in-
stalled on the center line of Summit Street extended
approximately 200 feet South of the canter line of
27th Street;
On Project Ark. 4 -2, one fire hydrant to beiin-
stalled on the South side of 12th Street on the center
line of Madison Street extended; one fire hydrant to
be installed on the South side of 12th Street on the
center line of Jefferson Street extended; and one fire
hydrant to be installed 510 feet South of 12th Street
between kadison and Jefferson Streets extended;
On Project Ark. 4 -3, one fire hydrant to be in-
stalled on the center line of 28th Street extended 310
feet West of the center line of Cumberland Street; and,
one fire hydrant to be installed 70 feet North of the.
center line of 27th Street and 310 feet West of the
center line of Cumberland street.
Section 2. The-City shall pay to the Board of Water-
works Commissioners for the privilege of taking water for the
prevention and extinguishing of fire from said hydrants a hg-
drant rental at the rate of $35.00 per hydrant per annum, pay-
able in twelve equal monthly installments on or before the 20th
day of each month following the month for which service was ren-
dered in accordance with the ordinances as now provided.
Section 3. All ordinances ,,or parts of ordinances in

conflict herewith are hereby repealed insofar as they con-
flict with this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage. x ;.
