The sum of Three Hundred Dollars (4300.00) is hereby appropriated out of the Fire Department Construc't'ion Fund to be used in the purchase of certain real property here- inafter described and located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Section 2• The sum of Three Hundred Dollars (4300.00) appropriated in Section 1 of this ordinanoe'shall be expended in the purchase of the lands described hereinafter and shall be paid to the owner of said lands as indicated.hereafter: Owner Property ' . D. Billingsley Lot One (1), Block :Mine (9), Sam Welch Addition to the City of Little Rocks Arkansas. Section 3. The - -- ayor and City Clerk are hereby authax..izA_d_ _ to issue the warrant of the City of Little Rock to the party named above in the amount mentioned for the purchase of the described real estate on delivery of an adequate deed of conveyance of the premises set out in Section 2 of this ordinance and on pre- sentation to the ivayor of the City of Little hock of sufficient proof of a merchantable tit1F in the party named. Section 4. As a further part of the consideration for the proof of the lands described ahove, the City of Little Rock, in addition to paying the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00), shall also assume and agree to pay any and all taxes and assessments now or hereafter to become due against said lands. Section 5. WHEREAS, the efficient maintenance of the Fire Department of the City of Little hock is of utmost concern to each and every citizen and necessary to the peace, health, safety and well -being of the citizens of Little rock, Arkansas, NOW THEREFORE, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
