BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The title of the Director of Sanitation and
Malaria Control is hereby changed to Assistant Superintendant
of Sanitation.
Section 2. zhe salary of the Assistant SuperintendBnt of
Sanitation as set out in Section 1 of this ordinance is hereby

fixed at Two Hundred Dollars (,;20 . +00 R Said salary shall be
effective as of and after February 1, 1942.
Section 3. The salary to be paid to each of the persons now or
hereafter discharging the duties of premise inspector in the Sani-
tation Vivision of the Health Department is fixed at One Hundred

Thirty Seven Dollars Fifty Cents (;;137.50) per month. Said salary
shall be paid as of and after February 1, 1942.
Section 4. The position of Milk'and Dairy Inspector
.&xrAxxjc is hereby created. The person to fill the position of
Milk and Dairy laspeetor xxxxxxxxxxxx snall discharge the duties
of a I. -ilk and Dairy Inspector and shall be chosen by the Civil
Service Commission in the manner provided by law and shall receive
a salary of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars (q,150.00) per month from
and after the effective date of his employment.
Seetion.rfi. -The City Veterinarian shall in- addition to his -
other duties have supervision over the I','ilk, Dairy and ivFeat Inspect-
ors -
Section 6. The Assistant Superintendgnt of Sanitation and the
Milk and Dairy 1pspector XXXX.XXXX shall be directly respon-
Bible to and immediately subordinate to the City Health Officer.
The premise inspectors in the Sanitation Division of the Health
Department shall be directly responsible to and immediately sub-
ordinants to the Assistant Superintend4Lnt of Sanitation.
Section 7. The salary to b-e'paid to the Assistant Health

Officer b)y;,the City of Little hock, in addition to the
salary now received by said officer from other sources, is
hereby fixed at Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) pQ. r month. Said
salary schedule shall be effective as of and after February
1, 1942-..
Section 8. The Civil Service status of the positions
mentioned in this ordinance or of any persons filling may of
said positions mentioned in this ordinance is not hereby
changed or disturbed in anyway.
Section 9-The efficient conduct and operation of all
phases of the Health Department is so intimately connected
with the public peace, health and safety that an emergency
is hereby declared to .exist, and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its pa$sage and approval.
