6394ORDINANCE No. 6394
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO LEASE TO
THE BUREAU OF MINES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR OF THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA CERTAIN LANDS OWNED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK IN GILLAM PARK, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to lease to the Bureau of Mines of the Department of Interior
of the United States of America the lands now owned by the City
of Little Rook and located in Gillam Park.
Section 2. Said lease shall be on whatever terms and
for whatever period of time the Mayor and said Bureau of Mines
shall agree upon, said lease to be executed for the purpose of
allowing the Bureau of Mines to explore said lands for the pur-
pose of asoartaining what minerals are located thereon.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
L effect from and after its passage and approval.
