ORDINANCE NO. 6-413
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE NAME OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSASs
Section 1. That thoroughfare and paved highway beginning at
the intersection of Cross and North Streets in the City of Little
Rook and running in a northwesterly direction`aaross the Mis "souri
Pacific Viaduct to Martin and "K" Streets in the City of Little
Rock shall henceforth be known as Lincoln Avenue.
Section 2. That thoroughfare and paved highway running in a
northerly direction from the intersection of Martin and "X11 Streets
to its intersection with "0" Street in the City of Little Rock shall
henceforth be known as Martin Street.
Section 3. That thoroughfare and paved highway running in a
westerly direction from Martin and "0" Streets west to the City
limits of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas shall henceforth be
known as Cantrell Road.
Section 4. This ordinance to intended to clarify the nomen-
clature of those portions of the highway mentioned in the Fr eeeding
sections and by various names known such as Lincoln Avenue, Highway
10, Cantrell Road, Martin Street and the like.
Section 5. The efficient administration of the streets and
traffic of the Ckty of IDittle Rock being vital to the public
peace, health and safety, an emergency is Ye reby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
