AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF SENIOR CLERK IN THE HEALTH
DEPARTMENT, FIXING THE DUTIES AND THE SALARY THEREFOR, ABOLISHING
ONE :POSITION OF CLERK STENOGRAPHER IN THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT, DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
� Section 1. The position of Senior Clerk in the Health Depart-
ment is hereby created.
Section 2. The duties of the position created in Section 1
of this ordinance shall be those of written clerical work, filing
work, making records, transcribing reports, issuing health certi-
ficates and performing other duties designated by the City Health
Officer.
Section 3. The person to fill the position created in Section
1 of this ordinance shall be chosen by the Civil Service Commission
in the manner provided by law and shall receive a salary of Ninety
Dollars ($90.00) per mont #.
Section 4. There is hereby abolished one position of Clerk
Stenographer in the health Department of the City of Little Rock.
Section 5. The efficient administration of the important
functions of the Little Rock Health Department being of vital
consequence to the public peace,health and safety, an embrgency
is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
