1 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
LEASE A CERTAIN AREA IN THE FAIR PARK OF' THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO
j T. A. FUZELL FOR A TERM OF TWO YEARS WITH A RENEWAL OPTION, FOR THE
j FURNISHING OF AMUSEMENT RIDES AND CONCESSIONS IN SAID FAIR PARK,
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and

requested to execute a lease to T. A. Fuzell doing business as Fuzellfs
United Shows, said lease to be for a term of two years and to cover
the lands now known as Fair Park, other than the Zoo, now owned by
the City of Little Rock.
Section 2• Under the terms of said lease, said Fuzell will have
exclusive right for the term of the lease to install and operate
amusement rides and concessions and shall pay to the City of Little
Rock for said lease and the privileges thereunder fifteen per cent
(15%) of the gross amount realized by the said Fuzell from said rides
and concessions. It shall be provided that Fuzell shall pay to the
City all taxes and fees which he might otherwise owe and that the amounts
so paid shall be credited against the gross fifteen per cent (15%)
rental provided above.
Section 3. Said T. A. Fuzell shall have the option of renewing
said lease for a two year perioA and shall undertake in said lease to
establish seven or more amusement rides and all such installations
at points mutually agreed upon between Fuzell and the City of Little
Rock.
i Section 4. It shall be expressly provided in said lease that the
persons enjoying the present amusement devices in the grounds covered
by said lease shall not be disturbed but that the lessee shall recog-
nize all such rights; and it shall be further provided in said lease
that the City shall have the right to lease said grounds to Goodman
Wonder Shows at any time or times not to exceed a total of two weeks
which need not be consecutive agreed upon by the City and the said
Goodman ;fonder Shows or its successors.
Section 5. A furnishing to the citizens of Jittle Rock of health-
ful amusement devices being vital to the public peace, health and safety
an emergency is hereby decslaredto exist,

its passage and approval.
