AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF VARIOUS EMPLOYEES I1 THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The employees holding the positions listed below
shall henceforth receive as monthly salaries the amounts set opposite

Section 2• The salaries mentioned in Section 1 of this ordinance
shall be paid as of and after May 1, 1942.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. The salaries paid to City employees being of direct
consequence in the efficient administration_ of the City functions
and directly connected with the public peace, health and safety, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
