FOR, rECLARING AIJ ETMERGEI`CY AT ?D FOR OTHER PTJRPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE' CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized to
-- rtlse' for and make purchase of five air raid sirens and equipment
therefor, more particularly desekibed as follows:
5 2 H•P•, 220 volt vertical - eneral alarm
sirens. (A2 Federal sirens or the Equivalent)
5 Remote controls with thermal cut -outs and
relays for 2 H.P. sirens
5 "Start only" push button stations
Section 2. The efficient defense of the citizens of this City
against the dangers of air raids being vital to the public peace, health
and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
