E BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: k Section 1. Section 2• The title of Assistant Superintendant of Sanitation is hereby changed to Lirector of the Garbage Disposal Department and the person holding said position shall be the head of the Garbage Disposal Department. Section 3. to The positions in the health Department of the City of Little Rock, the holders of which are discharging the f'unctioas 'assigned to the Garbage Disposal Department as set out in Section 1 of this ordinance, are hereby transferred to the Garbage Disposal Department, the positions affected by this ordinance being as follows: 1 Assistant Superintendent 4200.00 1 Cashier 135.00 2 Clerk - Stenographers 90.00 1 Senior Driver 120.00 12 Drivers 110.00 3 Probation Drivers 100.00 20 helpers 75.00 7 Probation helpers 65.00 provided, however, that the positions of Premise Inspectors shall V remain in the health Department and the persons holding same shall f ` - aastsi ue 'to discharge the sane functions that they are now discharging. Section 4. This ordinance is not intended to affect, alter or impair the Civil Service status of any position, employee or person subject to it. Section 5. The prompt and efficient collection and disposal of Tarbage being vital to the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
