AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE BENEFITS TO BE
RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL
LOTS, BLOCKS AND PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN
STREET MPROVEi«ENT DISTRICT NO. 563
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a majority of more than two - thirds in value
of the property owners owning property adjoining the locality
to be affected and situated in Street Improvement District No.
563 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the
purpose of grading, draining and paving, in such manner and with
such materials as the commissioners for said improvement district
shall deem to be for the best interest of the district, that part
of Cross Street as therein set out, have petitioned the City
Council of the City of Little Rock for the construction of said
improvement, and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon
the real property of said district according to the benefits

received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every lot,
block and parcel of real property situated in said District
equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is
$9,500.00;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

Section 1. That the said several lots, blocks and
parcels of real property in said Street Improvement District
No. 563 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be assessed ac-
cording to the assessment list for said improvement district
as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk, and
that six and two- thirds per centum (6 2/3 %) of the assessment
of benefits of each of said lots, blocks and parcels of real
estate shall be paid annually on or before the 1st day of
October of each year, beginning with October 1, 1942, until
the whole of the said local assessment of benefits shall be
paid, provided that the liability of each lot or tract of land
shall be limited to its assessed benefits.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
