AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY -FIVE DOLLARS
IN PAYMENT OF CERTAIN ITEMS OF EXPENSE INCURRED BY THE ABSENCE
OF THE ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY WHILE SERVING WITHOUT PAY AS A
MEMBER OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES*
WHEREAS,

the month of May, June and July 1942, and
the duties of the assistant City Attorney were discharged

from the City of Little Rock, and
WHEREAS, the City was thereby able to save the salary that
otherwise would have been paid to the Assistant City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, certain expenses in the maintenance of the City Attorney *s
office were incurred, which expenses would normally have been borne
by the Assistant City Attorney, now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANS AB :
SECTION 1. The sum of One Hundred Ninety -five Dollars is hereby
appropriated in payment of the items of expense incurred by the
office of the City Attorney due to the absence of the Assistant City
Attorney while serving in the armed forces of the United States of
America, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to issue a
warrant of the City in said amount to the City Attorney. This amount
will be in addition to any other amounts hitherto appropriated.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on
and after its passage and approval.
