6545-.P_` ;_mss ORDINANCE N0. 6545- AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO BE A NUISANCE, PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVALt AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That, whereas, the owners of the following dstoribbd property, "to -wit: 1224 West 15th 1 Story Frame Residence 3924 Maryland Ave. 1 Story Frame Residence 2703 Arch 1 Story Frame Residence 807 West 32nd 1 Story Frame Residence 220 N. Cross 1 Story Frame Residence 115 S•,Arch 1 Story Frame Residence 1214 Summit 1 Story Frame Garage 1701 Battery, 1 partially burned store, building. have allowed the buildings located on said property to deteriorate to the extent that said buildings have been found by the Fire Committee of the Little Rook City Council to be hazardous in that they and each of, them constitute a fire hazard, and in addition are dangerous to the life and limb of the public; and same and each of them are hereby declared to be nuisances. And the Chief of Police is hereby instructed to serve the owners of each of said pieces of property with a copy of this ordinance and notify said owner or owners that the respective pieces of property must either be torn down and removed or remodeled within thirty (30) days from the date hereof. SECTION 2. In the evert4the owner or owners of any of said pieces of property cannot be located, the Chief of Polio@ is instructed .to serve said notice by posting a copy of this ordinance on the front door of each of said buildings 'and report such action to the Fire Committee of the City Council. w - . . =T. SECTION 3. Any owner or owners of any of the within described property failing or refusing to conform to the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof in the Little Rock Municipal Court shall be fined in any sum not less than Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00). SECTION 4. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and instructed to proceed to take all necessary court action in order to secure the removal of the property herein declared to be a nuisance if same is not removed or remodeled within thirty days (30) of the date hereof. SECTION 5. Due to the constant fire hazard and the danger that these pieoes�of property present to the public safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist; and this ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, the same shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval. / PASSED ; April 19!!2.
