dhd ORDI dP.NCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO
PURCHASE FOUR AUTOMOBILES SUITAFLE FOR THE USE OF THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE
DEPARTMENT, DECLARING AN* EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 1.9E CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized and directed
to purchase, in the manner provided by law, four automobiles suitable for use
by the Little Rock Police Department as squad cars, and to trade in on the
purchase of said cars four automobiles presently owned by the said Police
Department.
Section 2. Because the present automobiles now owned by the Little Rock
Police Department are insufficient to afford to the citizens of Little Rock
adequate protection a;aint law breakers, and bweause new and adequate

automobiles are uro-ently needed to afford the necessary protection, an� S
emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full �?
force and effect from and after its passame.
