IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK ;.FIXING THE TERMS THEREOF; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. RDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: CTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to ow hehmlf "of, `pity of Lit*,le Roo] a lease, ; lose 1 4�1 t , ansas Livestock Association, the following lands in Pulaski Arkansas: All of Fair Park property except that part being used by the Municipal Zoo and'Municipal Swimming Pool, the Little Rook Baseball Club, the Fair Park Golf Course and excepting also the following: Starting at the intersection of West Markham Str.eet. and hair Park Boulevard in the City of Little Rook, .Arkansas, running wrest 900 feet; thence south 195.5 feet; thence east 100 feet; thence north 22 'degrees east 1310 feet to an asphalt street; thence southeast parallel with said street a distance of 430 feet to a point from whidh the north end of the are in Fain Park begins; following an asphalt street ors- ating the arc in, the senaq►darisR..ci.reelex# .�a ,,.. , the property Wine of'the State Hospital; thane*' north to the point of 'beginning. Whereas, the Arkansas Livestock Association is I anxious to obtain a site for the permanent maintenance of a live- stock show; and whereas, at present it does not have such a site; and whereas, furtherance of livestock in the State of Arkansas is o ;ths+ Uterests , of the State; and whereas, _ the le ase}. a�;• ised by this ordinance will provide a site for the Arkansas Live- stook Association; an emergency is 'hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the, preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
