AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE
FOR AND ACCEPT BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT (8 NEW TRUCK
CHASSIS AND CABS AND TO SELL OR TRADE TWELVE (12) INTERNATIONAL
TRUCKS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs of the City of
-authorized and directed to advertise for
bids for the purchase of eight (8) new truck chassis and cabs
for the Sanitation Department of the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. The aforesaid Board is also authorized to sell
or trade in twelve International trucks on the aforesaid new
• trucks, as they may deem to the best interest of the City of
Little Rock.
SECTION 3. The sum of 410,000.00 is hereby appropriated
for the purchase of the aforesaid eight new trucks.
SECTION 4. The proper collection and disposal of garbage
within the City of Little Rook, being found necessary to the
preservation the health, peace and safety of the citizens of
Little Rock, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
