AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO
PURCHASE CERTAIN FIRE HOSE FOR THE USE OF THE LITTLE ROCK FIRS DEPART-
NEXT; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSSS-
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized and
directed to purchase in the manner provided by law for the Little Rook
1000 teirt inch 'fire hose with 2* inch couplings
10000 feet lit inch fire hose
500 feet booster hose
SECTION 2. Because the items mentioned in Section 1 of this
Ordinance are necessary for the efficient functioning of the Fire
Department in order that the citizens of Little Rook may have adequate
fire protection, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this
Ordinance being necessary for the public peace$ health and safety,

shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
