AN ORDINANCE A1ENDING SECTION 9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 2257 (BEING SECTION
1743 OF BRICKTHOUSE AND CASTLE'S DIGEST); AP:IENDING SECTION 563 OF
BRICKHOUSE AND CASTLE'S DIGEST; A141ENDITTG ORDINANCE NO. 1177 AND
ORDINANCE NO. 1215; AND FOR OTHER,PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 9 of Ordinance No. 2257 of the Ordinances
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas is hereby amended to read as
follows :
"Any person, firm or corporation holding a license under this
Ordinance is hereby prohibited from permitting any person who has not
attained the age of eighteen (18) years to play billiards or pool in
any such billiard or pool room, or to loaf in or frequent such
billiard or pool rooms."
SECTION 2. Section 563 of Brickhouse and Castle's Digest is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Eighteen (18 )
"It shall be unlawful for any person under /xxxx xxxxx4x14
years of age to play billiards or pool in public billiard and pool
halls, or to loaf in or frequent said halls, and shall be unlawful
for the owner, proprietor or person in charge thereof to permit any
such person to do so. Any one violating this ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof in
municipal court, shall be fined not less than Five Dollars 05.00)
nor more than Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00)."
SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 1177 and Ordinance No. 1215 of the
Ordinances of the City of .Little Rock, Arkansas are hereby amended to
conform with the provisions of Section 2 of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
