AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF THE CITY'S GARBA'3E; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY;
A11D FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized and
directed to advertise for and to receive bids for the disposal of
the City's garbage, trash, waste, refuse, etc. The method of dis-
posal of the garbage, trash, waste, refuse, etc., shall be that
method known as "Sanitary Fill ", or by burying said garbage, trash,
waste, refuse, etc.
SECTION 2. Because the contract now held by the City for the
disposal of its garbage, trash, waste, refuse, etc., may soon expire;
and because it is a matter of great concern to the public health
that adequate provision be made for the disposal of the City's gar-
bage, trash, waste, refuse, etc., an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this Ordinance, being necessary for the public peace,
health and safety, shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage.
