AN ORDINANCE CREATING TWO POSITIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF
GARBAGE DISPOSAL, FIXING SALARIES FOR SAME; DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There are hereby created the following

Disposal:

A�et Mechanic - - - - $137.50 per month
SECTION 2. Persons to fill the positions created in
Section 1 of this ordinance, shall be chosen by the Civil
Service Commission in the manner provided by law, and shall
receive in monthly salary the amounts set opposite their
positions. The duties of the positions created in Section 1.
of this ordinance shall be the discharge, for the Garbage
Disposal Department, of those duties that are customarily
discharged by similar positions in other departments of the
City.
SECTION 3. Because the Department of Garbage Disposal
needs the services of the positions created in Section 1 of
this ordinance, in order to maintain its automotive equipment
in satisfactory condition to collect and dispose of the garbage,
trash, waste, refuse, etc., of the City of Little Rock, an
emergency is hereby declared to exists and this ordinance
being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health
and safety, shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
its passage.
