AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO PURCHASE
INSULATION MATERIALS AND A FIRE EXTINGUISHER; DECLARING AN..
EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby
authorized and directed to purchase in the manner provided
mow- awr the' following it ems :
(1) Sufficient insulation materials to insulate
the storage tank located at the City Asphalt
Plant, the total cost of said materials not
to exceed $650.00.
(2) One 40- gallon Foamite Fire Extinguisher on
wheels to be used at the City Material Yard,
the purchase price not to exceed $200.00.
SECTION 2. Because insulation materials are needed for
the storage tank at the City Asphalt Plant to prevent waste
of asphalt stored therein and to insure materials necessary
for the maintenance of City streets; and because a fire ex-
tinguisher is needed at the City Material Yard to prevent
waste and destruction of supplies stored there, in event of fire,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance
being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health
and safety, shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
its passage.
