6768ORDINANCE NO. 6768.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE LOVING OF THE STREET CURBING TO THE
SIDEWALK LINE AT THIRD AND ROCK STREETS IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Permission is hereby granted to move the street
curbing to the sidewalk line at the following locations;
(1) Along the west side of Rock Street a distance
of 50 feet north from the intersection of Third and Rock
Streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
(2) Along the north side of Third Street a distance
of 50 feet west from the intersection of Third and Rock
Streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. Any person exercising the authority contained in
Section 1 of this ordinance shall replace the curbing and pave that
portion of the street affected by the removal of the curbing, in
accordance with plans and specifications approved by the City Engineer,
and no work may be commenced on such removal until and unless such
plans and specifications have been approved by the City Engineer.
No person, firm or corporation shall proceed with the execution of
the authority contained in Section 1 of this ordinance until and
unless such person, firm or corporation has agreed to perform such
work in accordance with such plans and specifications.
SECTION 3. Nothing in this ordinance shall be construed to allow
or condone, in the area affected, what is commonly known as "angle
parking" but all parking of vehicles in the areas affected shall be
in the form of parallel parking, or as the same may be hereafter
fixed by the City Council of Little Rock, Arkansas.
