AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE PART ""OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 6,
FOREST HILL ADDITION TO ThE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK ;0 AMIMAS
THAT LIES WITHIN THE EAST HALF OF S jD BLOCK 6.
WHEREAS, a Petition_ was duly filed with the City Council of the
City of Little Rock on thelat day of October, 1945, asking the
City Council to vacate and n_dor_ all that portion_ of the Alley
that is within the East Half of;5&4/6, Forest Hill Addition to the
City of Little Rock , Arkansas as shown on the Plat of said Addition
appearing of Record in Deed Record #40 at Page 577 of Pulaski County.,
Arkansas.
Whereas: after due Notice as required by law, the Council has, at
the time and place mentioned in the Notice, heard all persons desir-
ing to be heard on the question, and has ascertained that the alley
ob portion thereof heretofore described, has heretofore been dedi-
cated to the public use as an alley herein described, has not been
actually used by the public generally for a period of more than
five years prior to the filing of said petition; that all the owners
of the property abutting that protion of the alley to be vacated
have filed with the Council their written consent to such abandon-
ment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be adverse-
ly affected by the abandonment of said portion_ of the alley.
NUN TH1,1REFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TN-E CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LIT'T'LE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all tte rights, together with the rights of
the public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows.:
That portion of the sixteen foot alley running East and west
through the middle of Block 6, Forest Hill Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas which lies within the East half of said
Block 6.
Section 2. A Copy of this Ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of
Pulaski Count-, Arkansas to be recorded in the Deed Records of
said County.
Sec Lion 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
