7061Ilk, ORDINANCE NO 7061 AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING THg CUTTING OF CURBS ON GARLAND STREET AND GAINES STREET ADJACENT TO LOTS 10 2, 3, 4, OF BLOCK 136 ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AMENDING ORDINANCE N0, 3936; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WnfMS., the owner of Lots 1, 29 3, 4 of Block 136, zof I+ttle * Rooky Arkansas has established thereon a motor freight terminal, and WHEREAS, curb cuts of the length permitted by Ordinance No. 3936 will not be sufficient to permit trucks of the size operated by the said owner to be driven into the said terminal, and WHEREAS, this City Council deems it necessary in the preservation of the public safety and in the prevention of traffic congestion that the said trucks not be parked, loaded or unloaded without being driven completely off the street, now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE XANSAB t Section 1. That the Superior Forwarding Company, Inc., the owner of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Block 1362 Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas be and it is hereby permitted and authorized to out and remove the curb on the south side of Garland Street adjacent to the said lots for a distance of ninety (90) feet beginning at a point fifty (50 feet west of the southwest corner of the intersection of Garland Street with Gaines Street, and running thence ninety (90) feet west. Section 2. That the Superior Forwarding Company, Inc., .. ,of Lot ?our (4) Black 1-36, Orig �l Qi$T' `1� Arkansas, be and it is hereby permitted and authorized to out and remove the curb on the west side of Gaines Street adjacent to the said lot beginning at-the alley on the south boundary of the said lot four (4) and running thence north forty -five (45) feet. Section 3. That Ordinance No. 3936 of the City of Little Rock be and it is hereby amended to permit the action provided for in Sections 1 and Section 2 of this Ordinance. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed to the extent of the conflict with this ordinance. tfb unloltd 3g of large trucks on the streets is found to constitute a hazard to the public safety an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
