ORDINANCE NO. 70700
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. - r;65 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more
than two - thirds in assessed value of the property located within
j the territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying
that an improvement district be established for the purpose
hereinafter set out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City
Council of the City of LittleRpck, Arkansas, has heard all the
parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said
petition was signed by more than two - thirds in assessed value of
the owners of real property within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following property in the City of Little
Rock, to -wit:
Lots 1 to 61 inclusive, Block 19;
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, Blocks 20 and 21;
Lots 1 to 9, inclusive, Block 22;
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, and 10, 11 and 12, Block 27;
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, in Blocks 28 and 29;
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, Block 30;
All in Park View Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas;
for the purpose of grading, draining, guttering, and paving, in
such a manner and with such materials as the commissioners to be
elected for the said improvement district shall deem to be for the
best interest of said district, the following part of the following
streets in the City of Litle Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
Grant Street from the north property line of
"V" Street to the south property line of "Z"
Street, and
"X" Street from the east property line of
Grant Street to the West property line of
Pierce Street;
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from
any agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and
charged upon the real property above described, provided the
liability of each lot or tract of land shall be limited to its
assessed benefits.
Said District shall be known as Street Improvement
District No. 565 ; and , A. L. Dallas, and William
H. Esslinger are hereby named commissioners, who shall compose
the Board of Improvement for said district.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
