AN ORDINANCE GRANTING AN BASEMENT TO THE METROPOLITAN TRUST
COMPANY FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING AND MAINTAINING A SEWER
MAIN OVER PART OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER
OF SECTION 11, TOWNSHIP 1 NORTH, RANGE 12 WEST, LYING NORTH OF
EAST YWENTY -FIRST STREET AND WEST OF BARBER AVENUE IN THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Trust Company proposes to con -
stite't a' serr 'er main to srerv* certain lands in the Oak Glen
Addition and in Braggts Second Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, Said sewer main when construoted will materially
improve the health facilities of the City of Little Rook, will
reduce the health hazard, and will encourage the development of
lands in these additions; and,
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Trust Company needs permission
to arose lands hereinafter described owned by the City of Little
Rook in order to connect said proposed sewer with the existing
Sanitary Sewer System; and,
WHEREAS, The Council has found and hereby finds that the
Metropolitan Trust Company should be authorised to arose said
lands; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rook hereby grants and con-
voys to the Metropolitan Trust Company, its successors and as-
signs, an easement and right of passage ten feet wide over the
following lands:
A parcel of land ten feet wide, the center line
of which is described as follaws: Beginning at a point

on the ',North and South center -, line of Section ll, Town -
irHip' i North, Range 12 West, which is appt-oxiaately one
hundred fifty (160) feet. South of the intersection of
the South property line of East 18th Street projected,
and the aforesaid north and South Center line of Section
11, thence in a Northeasterly direction to the existing
sanitary sewer manhole, which is approximately one hun-
dred seventy -five (175) feet East and twenty (20) feet
South of the aforesaid intersection of the South property
line of East 18th Street projected and the North and South
center line of Section 11, all in that part Northwest
Quarter, Southeast Quarter, section 11, Township 1 North,
Range 12 West, North of East 21st Street and West of
Barber Avenue.
Said easement and right of passage includes and is granted

for the purpose of permitting the Metropolitan Trust Company,
its representatives, successors, and assigns to enter upon
said lands for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a
sewer line thereon, and for the purpose of removing or prevent-
ing the construction of any building or obstruction that might

line.
SECTION 2. Said easement is granted in consideration of
the advantages and benefits to flow to the City of Little Rook
from the construction of the sewer above described.
SECTION 3. In the event that the Metropolitan Trust Com-
pany desires to convey or transfer said easement to the Little
Rook Sanitary Sewer Commission, permission and approval of any
such transfer or conveyance to the Little Rook Sanitary Sewer
Commission is hereby given.
SECTION 4. The Mayor and City Clerk and officials of Oakland
C*aetorr are hereby authorised and direoted is omeoate any ami
all instruments that may be necessary to effectuate the conveyance
of the above easement or the assignment of same.
