AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR INSTALLATION OF FIRE HYDRANTS
WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE YEAR 1946.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. ;whenever the Chief of the Little Rock
Fire Departrrn nt, with the approval of the Arkansas mire Pre-
vention Bureau, shall select locations within the City of
Little Rock for fire hydrants deemed necessary for adequate
fire protection for the City of Little 1 {ock and requests the
Board of Waterworks Commissioners of the Little Rock Municipal
Water Works to install same, the said Board of I,'- aterworks
Commissioners shall have full authority to so install said
fire hydrant and charge hydrant rentals therefor as herein-
after provided.
Section 2. The rates f or hydrants installed under
this ordinance shall b e as set forth in Section 1, Article 3,
of the Trust Indenture, dated February 1, 1936, and approved
by City Ordinance No. 5316, passed February 28, 1936, and as
amended by City Ordinance No. 5712, passed March 22, 1939,
and asamended by City Ordinance No. 5914, passed June 10,
1940, and as amended by City Ordinance No. 6824, passed
September 10, 1945.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed only insofar
as they conflict with this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
