AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE 6461 OF THE
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PASSED
JULY 13, 1942; CREATING THE POSITION OF CITY
HEALTH OFFICER, ESTABLISHING A SALARY THERE-
FOR, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
SECTION 1.. That Ordinance No. 6461 of the ordinances
of the City of Little Rock passed July 13, 1942 is hereby re-
pealed.
SECTION 2. There is hereby created the position
of City Health Officer. Such officer shall perform such duties
under the supervision of the Mayor of the City of Little Rock
and shall perform such duties as shall be designated from time
to time by the City Council of said City.
SECTION 3. The City Health Officer shall be paid
an annual salary of Three Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($3,100.00)
by the City-of Little Rock. This sum shall be in addition to
the other emoluments of contributing agencies.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and unless, the pro-
visions of this ordinance are placed into effect immediately
the public health, peace, and safety of the citizens of Little
Rock will be adversely affected, therefore, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this.ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval,
