AN ORDINANCE HOLDING RESPONSIBLE THE DRIVERS AND
OPERATORS OF ALL CITY VEHICLES FOR THEIR ACTS OF
NEGLIGENCE 1''HILE OPERATING SUCH VEHICLES, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
BE -IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARISAS :
SECTION 1. From and after the effective date of this or-
dinance each employee of the City of Little Rock who drives,
operates, or handles a vehicle belonging to the City of Little
Rock in a negligent manner and such negligence results in an
accident, or damage to such vehicle, then such employee shall be
required to pay a sum not to exceed Fifty Dollars (050.00) to
the City of Little Rock in payment for such d.mages to the vehicle
of the City. If the damages to such vehicle shall be less than
$;50.00, then such employee shall pay the entire amount of such
damage.
SECTION 2. All employees of the City shall be considered
to have agreed to the provisions of Section 1 of this ordinance
as a condition of their continued employment unless such employee
notifies the Civil Service Commission in writing of his objection
thereto within 30 days from the effective date of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. All future employees shall agree to the above
as a condition o' their employment.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flirt herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be
