AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE GRiLiTING OF
PERMIT TO INSTALL PLUlQBING, PAYMENT OF THE
FEES THEREFOR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Before any excavation'is started upon any street,
alley, side walk, parkway, or other public area for the purpose of laying
or repairing pipes or conduits, the person, firm,or corporation laying, re-
pairing or otherwise working on such pipes or conduits, or doing such plumbing or..
excavation work, shall apply to the Plumbing Inspector of the City of Little
hock for a permit to do such work.
SECTION 2. Such person at the time of making the application
for such permit shall state to the plumbing inspector in writing the extent
of the work and out -lets in the manner prescribed by the Plumbing Inspector
and shall pay an inspection fee to the City Collector of Little Rock upon the
basis provided in Ordinance 4372 of the Ordinances of the City of Little Pock,
No work shall be done upon any plumbing in the City of Little Rock until a permit
is issued by the Plumbing Inspector, and the fee paid therefor.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating the
provisions of this ordinance, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in
any sum of not less than Twenty -Five Dollars ( p 25.00 ) nor more than One
Hundred Dollars ( x100.00 ).
SECTION 4. It shall be the duty of the Plumbing Inspector
as well as other enforcement officers of the City of Little Rock to enforce
the provisions of this ordinance, and if the provisions of this ordinance
are not enforced by the Plumbing Inspector or other enforcement officers of
the City of Little Rook responsible therefor, such a failure shall constitute
cause of dismissal of such person from the employment of the City of Little kook .
SECTION 5. All ordinances pr parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, but only such portions of Ordinance 4372 as
are in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are repealed. Unless
the provisions of this Ordinance are placed into effect immediately, the
public peace, health, and safety will be adversely affected, therefore an
@Lmergency is hereby declpred to exist and the provisions of this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
approval.
