AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCES 7013 AND 6708
BY PLACING THE WOMEN'S MATRON AND MATRON CLERK
UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the positions of women's matron and
matron clerk created by Ordinance 6708 as amended by ordin-
ance 7013 are hereby transferred from the supervision of
the Police Department and placed under the supervision of
the City Health Department.
SECTION 2. That henceforth these positions shall be
carried on the payroll of the Health Department of the City
of Little Rock.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provis-
ions of this ordinance are put into effect as of June 16,
1947, the public health, peace, and safety of the citizens
of the city of Little Rock will be adversely affected,
therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
dune 16, 1947.
