ORDINANCE NUMBER
AN OFDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON THAT PORTION
OF THE ALLEY LYING BETWEEN STEMPELIS ADDITION AMID
REUTLINGEAIS ADDITION Tu THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, WHICH EXTENDS FROM THE NORTH BOUNDARY
OF LOT ONE TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY OF LOT THREE IN
STEMPEL'S ADDITION; AND FR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of
Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 2'od day of June, 1947, asking the
City Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of the alley
as designated on the plat of Stempel's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, now appearing in Plat Book 2, page 9, and
lying between Stempel's Addition and ReutlingeVs Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas and extending from the North
boundary of Lot One to the South boundary of Lot three in
Stempel's Addition, and,
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all
persons desiriting to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the portion of the alley, hereinabove described, has heretofore
dedicated to the Public use, and has not been used by the public
generally for a period of at least five years subsequent to the
filing of the plat; that all the owners of the property abutting
upon the portion of the alley to be vacated have filed with the
Council their written consent to such abandonment; and that the public
interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandon-
ment of such portion of the said alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of
the public generally, in and to that portion of the alley
designated as follows:
All that portion of the alley as designated on the plat
of Stempel's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
now appearing in Plat Book 2, Page 9, and lying between
Stempel's Addition and Reutlingees Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, extending from the North boundary
of Lot One to the South boundary of Lot Three in Stempel's
Addition.

SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of Pulaski
County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
