AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE POSITION OF JUNIOR CAPTAIN
IN THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; FIXING THE NUMBER
OF EMPLOYEES FOR THE VARIOUS RANKS IN THE FIRE DEPART-
MENT, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
ARKANSAS: ,
' SECTION 1. The position of Junior Captain of the Fire De-
partYntnt of the City of - Little Rock is hereby abolished. The

SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of
.this ordinance are put into effect immediately, the public peace,
health, and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be adverse-
ly affected, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
