AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THAT PART OF ORDINANCE NO. 7444
PLACING A TAX UPON THE BUSINESS OF OPERATING APARTMENT
HOUSES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That part of Section 1 (A) of Ordinance 7444,
reading as follows:
"The business of operating Apartment Houses —The business
of operating an apartment house is hereby declared to be
a privilege and the owner of any apartment house who rents
or leases the apartments therein, when such apartment
house or apartment unit consists of over three (3) apart-
ments, then such owner shall pay for each room in such
apartments that is rented or leased...,06.........,$1.00."
is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. It is the intention of this ordinance to repeal
only so much of Ordinance No. 7444 as is applicable to the placing
of a privilege tax on the business of operating an apartment house.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
