AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO STEMNG STORES CO1MPANY, INC.,
ITS SUCCESSORS OR ASSIGNS, FOR A PERIOD OF NINETYANINE
YEARS-FROM THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY, 1945, FOR AN
ANNUAL RENT OF S 25.00, THE RIGHT TO USE A PORTION OF
A PUBLIC AREAWAY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK:
3VTI0N ONE: That Sterling Stores Company, Inc. and /or its assigns,
be and it is hereby granted the right to use ari area as hereinafter
described:
Beginning he SN corner of the public areaway located
in Block,of the Original City of Little Rock and running
North along the East line of the property presently occupied
by the Sterling Department Store a distance of 23 feet and 9
inches, thence East 12 feet and 11 inches, thence South 23 feet
and 9 inches to the North line of the property presently occu-
pied by the Arnold Barber and Beauty Supply Company, thence
West along such line a distance of 12 feet and 11 inches to the
point of beginning.
SECTION TWO: That any structure erected on said above described area
shall not exceed 26 feet in height`.`

SECTION THREE: That if the area above described is required for
the Cit y may, after giving a notice of not less than 60 days re-

quire the Sterling Stores Company, Inc., or its assigns, to remove any
structure thereon and restore the area to its normal state.
SECTION FOUR: That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Little Rock Y
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to enter into and com-
plete a lease agreement for th use of the above mentioned area as here- x'
inabove provided for Brio

SSECTTION FIVE: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict hsrewith
are hereby repealed only insofar as they affedt this ordinance.
