AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE FEES TO BE COLLECTED BY THE
SANITATION DEPARTMENT FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION WITHIN A ONE -
HALF MILE RADIUS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, FIXING THE TIME
FOR-THE COLLECTION THEREOF, AMENDING ORDINANCE 7387, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
- SECTION 1. Section 1 (1) of Ordinance 7387 is hereby amended_
to read as follows:
For the purpose of this Ordinance, the calendar year is divided
into four quarters, the first quarter covering the months of February,
March and April; the second quarter covering the months of May, June,
and July; the third quarter covering the months of August, September,
and October; the fourth quarter covering the months of November,
December, and January.
SECTION 2. Section 1 (2) (3) of Ordinance 7387 are hereby
amended to read as follows:
A fee of Two Dollars ($2.00) per quarter or fractional part of
a quarter, payable in advance is hereby levied for each single family
dwelling house actually occupied as a residence.
A fee of One dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) per quarter, payable
in advance, is hereby levied for each unit of a multiple family dwell-
ing house actually occupied as a residence.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and /cr parts of ordinances in con-
fliet here--with are hereby repealed; unless the provisions of this
ordinance are put into effect immediately, the public peace, health
and safety of the citizens of the City of Little Rock will be adverse-
ly affected, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
