. AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THE ALLEY IN THE BLOCK
BO LADED BY WEST SIXTEENTH, WEST SEVENTEENTH, BISHOP, AND MARSHAJ+L+
! STREETS, BEING BLOCK R9, CEN 'TENNIAL ADDITION IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSASâ–ş AND` FOR OVIER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the City
Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on January 9,
1948, asking the City Council to vacate and abandon the alley
running North and South through the center of Block 29,
Centennial Addition to the City of Tittle Rock, Arkansas,
extending from 16th to 17th Streets and parallel to Marshall
and Bishop Sheets in said City, appearing in Deed Record G3
at page 256 in the office of the Recorder or Pulaski County,
Arkansas;
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the
Council has, at the time and place mentioned in the notices,
heard all persons destr &ng to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the said alley, hereinbefore described, has
heretofore been dedicated to the public as an alley herein
described; has not been actually used by the public generally
for a period of at least 5 years subsequent to the filing of
the plat nor for a period of at least 5 years preceding the
filing of said Petition; that all the owners of the property
abutting upon the portion of the alley to be vacated have
filed with the Council their Petition conuaining their written
consent to such abandonment; and that public interest and
welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of
said alley; 0'vi IiIIIERREFORE,
BE Ii ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MH CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with
the rights of the public generally, in and to the following
described alley:
The alley funning North and South through the center
of Block 29, Centennial Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, extending from 16th to 17th Streets and parallel
to Marshall and Bishop Streets in said City, appearing in
Deed Fecord G3 at pare 256 in the Office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County, Arkansas.

Section 2. A copy of this Ordinance duly certified
by the city clerk shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County, Arkansas and recorded in the Deed Records of
said County.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
