AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THE EAST TWELVE
FEET OF LOTS 1 TO 12, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK THREE AND THE
WEST TWELVE FEET OF LOTS 11 TO 22, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK
TWO, OAK FOREST ADDITION TO LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
LYING ALONG THE EAST AND WEST SIDE OF FAIR PARK BOULE-
VARD AXD FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 15th day of March, 1948, asking
the City Council to vacate and abandon the east 12 feet of lots l to
12, inclusive, Block 3 and the west 12 feet of lots 11 to 22, inclusive,
block 2, Oak Forest Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas, said two 12 foot
strips lying along the east and west side of Fair Park Boulevard in
Little Rock, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Council has,
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all person desiring
to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the said two 12
foot strips wem dedicated for the use and benefit of the public but
that no part of either of said two 12 foot strips was ever open or at
any time actually used by the public generally or by anyone as a street
or at all; that all of the owners of the property abutting upon said two
12 foot strips to be vacated have filed with the Council their written
consent to such abandonment; and that public interest or welfare will
not be adversely affected by the abandonment of said two 12 foot strips.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas;
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to each and both of the two 12 foot strips of
land lying along the east and west side of Fair Park Boulevard in the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas and described as follows;
THE EAST TWELVE (12).FEET OF LOTS 1 TO 12, INCLUSIVE,
BLOCK THREE (3), AND THE WEST TWELVE (12) FEET OF LOTS
11 TO 22, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK TWO (2), OAK FOREST ADDITION
TO LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, GRANTED AND
DEDICATED.FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN THE
DEDICATION DEED DATED DECEMBER 20, 1929 EXECUTED TO
COUNTY OF PULASKI AND THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND APPEAR-
ING OF RECORD IN THE OFFICE OF THE CIRCUIT CLERK AND EX-
OFFICIO RECORDER OF PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS IN DEED RECORD
BOOK 213, PAGE 521.

SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City
Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas and recorded in the deed records of said County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
